About Us

"Boston Singers' Resource (BSR) is a website organization for the New England Community, but it is also so much more. It is a commitment to a community of individuals and a passionate intention to nurture them and promote their singing careers." Marney Makridakis, Classical Singer Magazine

History and Mission:
Established ten years ago as one of the most important networking tools for New England musicians, Boston Singers' Resource is a fully incorporated 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization. Its purpose is to strengthen and enhance the New England classical singing community by providing educational, promotional and networking resources to New England classical singers, to vocal organizations and to the general public. BSR currently provides this artistic support through its extensive website (www.BostonSingersResource.org), weekly eCalendar mailings;  daily eNews alerts, and live audition opportunities.

Services:
The BSR  website, www.BostonSingersResource.org, contains many pages open to the general public, as well as information that is for 'members only.' A Boston Singers' Resource membership is open to anyone for an annual fee of $45/year ($35/students and $75/organizations) and includes unlimited access to BSR website information; the ability to search/view member profiles; daily eNews alert options;  a discounts to Classical Singer Magazine, a free Teachers and Coaches  listing, and eligibility to participate in the BSR Annual Auditions. Current BSR members come from all six New England states and include classical solo singers, chorus singers, accompanists, coaches, music directors, artistic directors, composers, special event planners, managers, and student musicians of all levels.

"In my search for singer/musicians for our corporate event, I came across the website listed below. I sent an email to them and I must have gotten dozens of responses right away. The director, Lynn Shane, was also very helpful in giving advice on how to choose the right performer. The singer who came was very good."
