Boston Singers’ Resource is pleased to announce the opening its newest support program for singers. The Boston Singers’ Relief Fund (BSRF) will provide financial relief in a confidential, respectful manner to those who have contributed to the vocal arts in New England and are facing illness, job loss, catastrophic acts of nature, or other events such as vandalism or theft, and who have insufficient resources with which to handle such situations. Applications for singers-in need will be available on the BSR website in late 2010. We are currently raising funds to initiate this important program! Please help by donating to the Boston Singers' Relief Fund today. For more information, please contact: BSRF@BostonSingersResource.org

On October 3, 2009, at the Church of the Covenant in Boston, over 50 of Boston's finest singers joined forces to raise money for the Boston Singers' Relief Fund. Musicians from the Handel & Haydn Society, Boston Baroque, Emmanuel Music, Opera Boston, Blue Heron, Tanglewood Festival Chorus and more performed works by Mendelssohn, Durufle, Lauridsen and Mechem, along with guest soloists Barbara Kilduff, soprano; Michael Calmés, tenor and Donald Wilkinson, baritone.
