About us

"Boston Singers' Resource (BSR) is a website organization for the New England Community, but it is also so much more. It is a commitment to a community of individuals and a passionate intention to nurture them and promote their singing careers." Marney Makridakis, Classical Singer Magazine

History and Mission

Established in 2001 as one of the most important networking tools for New England musicians, Boston Singers' Resource is a fully incorporated 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides educational, promotional and career service resources to New England classical singers, vocal organizations and to the general public. BSR provides this artistic support through its extensive website, daily news alerts, live audition opportunities, and other services.

BSR members now come from all six New England states and include classical solo singers, chorus singers, accompanists, coaches, music directors, artistic directors, composers, special event planners, managers, and student musicians of all levels.

The BSR website contains many pages open to the general public as well as information for members only. Membership is open to anyone for an annual fee of $45 ($35 for students, $75 for organizations) and includes unlimited access to the BSR website, the ability to search and view member profiles, daily news alerts, special member discounts, and eligibility to participate in the BSR Annual Auditions and BSR workshops and masterclasses. BSR also manages the Boston Singers' Relief Fund.
