Kristin Hagan

Young American mezzo-soprano Kristin Hagan has garnered acclaim for her “beautiful tone, incisive musicianship and passionate performances” as she comfortably navigates the opera, concert, and recital stages. The Carrollton, Georgia native is a committed champion of new music performing works by established contemporary composers like Crumb and Harbison and has had the honor to premiere new works by up and coming composers including Jordan Chase, Julien Bryson, and Zach Friedland. Ms. Hagan has participated in a number of prestigious young artist programs including Chicago Summer Opera, OperaWorks, and Basoti. Currently based in Boston, she is in demand as a church musician and cantor. Ms. Hagan holds a Bachelor of Music from Westminster Choir College, a Master’s degree from Cleveland Institute of Music, and a Graduate Performance degree from the Longy School of Music.
