American Modern: Songs of Love and Longing

The Boston Cecilia presents its final concert of the 2018-2019 season with a program that includes John Corigliano’s exuberant setting of Dylan Thomas’ "Fern Hill" for mezzo-soprano (Margaret Lias), chorus and strings, Eric Whitacre’s "Five Hebrew Love Songs", written for chorus, piano and violin; and two pieces for string orchestra and chorus: Jake Runestad’s "The Hope of Loving" and Tarik O’Regan’s cantata "Triptych". George Case, conductor.
