This powerful music drama/lecture is an award-winning portrait of the famous actor, singer, and civil rights activist, written and performed by Tayo Aluko. Mr. Aluko has portrayed Paul Robeson in his play "Calling Mr. Robeson" on stages across the UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and Jamaica. This show features Mr. Robeson's music, his political oratory, and his heroic political activism as he became a central figure in the American civil rights movement. He was a celebrated bass-baritone in concert halls, on stage, and in film, best known for his singing of "Ol' Man River" from SHOWBOAT.
