The Oriana Consort
Choral music—from 4 continents and in 8 languages—to delight your ear and warm your spirit in these difficult times!
2022 is a tense year. Covid still threatens. Ukraine battles inhuman brutality inflicted upon its land and its people. We are enduring the greatest social schism since the Civil War. Frequent natural disasters seem never to abate. Many of us, perhaps most, are striving—in ways great and small—to turn these nemeses around. For that, we can find inspiration in the music of Resurgence: you'll hear choral works by J. S. Bach, Abbie Betinis, Charlotte Bray, Edward Elgar, Kelvyn Koning, Elliot Z. Levine, Claudio Monteverdi, Xingjimin Pan, Ralf Schmitt, and Valentin Silvestrov—sung by Oriana's 21 voices, under the direction of Walter Chapin and Katheryn Currie.
General admission: $20. Students and Seniors: $15. Tickets available at the door or in advance at www.orianaconsort.org. A reception for audience and performers will follow the performance. Wheelchair access.
Covid restrictions will apply. All audience members must be able to show proof of EITHER a valid full COVID-19 vaccination with the second or final dose dated 2 or more weeks prior to the event, OR a valid negative PCR/molecular COVID-19 test dated 3 or fewer days prior to the event.
