Soul Songs

A faculty recital of vocal music presented by NEC Preparatory and School of Continuing Education Faculty Jennifer Sgroe, Soprano with Timothy Steele, pianist and Allyson Michal, violinist.
The program, which expresses the inspiration, transformation and yearning of the soul, will offer selections from Handel's Neun deutsche Arien, songs by Schubert, Schumann, and Mendelssohn on Suleika texts, Poulenc's Fiançailles pour rire and a set of songs by living women composers of this decade, including works by Jessica Rudman, Lori Laitman, Jodi Goble, Luna Pearl Woolf, Paola Prestini and Julia Meinwald.
This program is free and open to the public.
