The Assabet Valley Mastersingers Welcomes You to Our Summer Sing-Along Event
Westborough, MA — The Assabet Valley Mastersingers (AVM) is thrilled to announce its upcoming Summer Sing event. Our event this year includes the lively and joyful Vivaldi "Gloria" and the beautiful but more challenging "Lux Aeterna" by Lauridsen. The Summer Sing is a unique event that encourages audience participation, allowing attendees to become part of the performance, and share in the magic of these two works. We invite vocalists of all levels to join AVM in performing these works!

About the Event
Join the choir along with soloists at this Summer Sing to kick off this inspiring season of music by AVM that speaks to unity, resilience, and hope. Our 2025-2026 season, “Together We Can”, brings powerful works that celebrate the strength of the human spirit.
Antonio Vivaldi’s “Gloria” is a wonderfully sunny nature of the Gloria, with its distinctive melodies and rhythms, is characteristic of all of Vivaldi’s music, giving it an immediate and universal appeal. Morten Lauridsen’s “Lux Aeterna” is made up of five connected movements that contain references to “Light,” assembled from various sacred Latin texts. Composed in response to an immediate family member’s final illness, Lauridsen found great comfort in setting the music to timeless and wondrous words about Light.
