EMERGENCY RELIEF FOR SINGERS
BSRF is offering emergency relief for classical singers with gigs cancelled due to COVID-19.
Note: The first round of funding ended on April 1. Please stay tuned; we are considering a second round later this month. Meanwhile, check other relief funds listed on our COVID-19 Resources Page.
One of the major consequences of the current COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak has been the cancellation of most performances, resulting in significant loss of income for many singers. The Boston Singers' Relief Fund (BSRF) was founded 10 years ago to help singers in time of need. As an immediate response to the current situation, BSRF is offering one-time grants to reimburse individual classical singers for some or all of the income they lost due to COVID-19 related cancellations.

Keeping the voices of New England Strong
Founded in 2009 by Murray Kidd, the Boston Singers' Relief Fund (BSRF) provides financial relief in a confidential, respectful manner to those in the singing community who have significantly contributed to the artistic life of New England and are facing job loss, illness, catastrophic acts of nature, or other events such as vandalism or theft, and who have insufficient resources with which to handle such situations. The BSRF recognizes the essential value of singers to society and culture and treats all applicants with dignity, discretion, and compassion. The Fund has awarded more than $10,000 in grants since the first applications were accepted in 2011. For more information, contact info@BostonSingersResource.org
