Beyond the Storm: Music of Loss and Renewal

Join the Camberville Somerchoir for our 2025 performances! Come and enjoy music by Jakko Mäntyjärvi alongside Maurice Duruflé's glorious Requiem and traditional gospel songs. These performances feature organist Kevin Lyczak, performing Duruflé's own organ reduction of the Requiem's orchestral parts.

Tickets are available on eventbrite (links above), and to purchase at the events. Pay-what-you-can, but there is a suggested donation of $25 (payable by cash or venmo), and no one will be turned away at the door. The venues are most easily reached via the T, but there is local parking available nearby for both venues. Both venues are wheelchair accessible. Neither venue has air conditioning, so please plan accordingly.

Since 2023, the Camberville Somerchoir has brought spirited, meaningful performances to the Greater Boston Community every summer. The CVSC is an auditioned ensemble comprised of local choral musicians from a variety of ensembles (the Metropolitan Chorale, Musica Sacra, the Seraphim Singers, Quorum Boston, Vox Lucens, and more) who come together every summer for the joy of communal music making. Under the joint leadership of Lorraine Fitzmaurice and Holly Druckman, the CVSC has presented some of the finest music in the symphonic choir repertoire in fresh interpretations for Boston audiences.
