Mr. Twister and the Tale of Tornado Alley
"Mr. Twister and the Tale of Tornado Alley" is a touring opera for youth and family audiences by composer Marc Hoffeditz, produced by director and puppetry artist, Brenda Huggins, and musician and activist, Sonja Tengblad featuring performances by local artists. Producing partners include the Puppet Showplace Theter, Mothers Out Front, Community Music Center of Boston, Somerville Growing Center, East End House in East Cambridge, and the Boston Arboretum. Funded by the Boston Foundation, Somerville Arts Council, Cambridge Arts Council, and the Brookline Commission for the Arts.
Through the power of his magic telescope, Mr. Twister can see just about everything — except the family reunion of the North and South winds that’s about to create a cyclone in Tornado Alley! Join us for a global musical adventure (with puppets!) about science and climate. Recommended for ages 3 & up. Run time: 45mins.
2:00 pm - Puppet Making workshop, make your own puppet to be part of the show!
2:30 pm - Showtime!
Seating - please bring your own blanket for seating in the grassy area in the park.
