SHINE! Celebrating Resilience through Song
 Cantilena __ women's voices
Cantilena, a chorus of women's voices, is delighted to present a newly commissioned work by composer Rebecca Sacks as part of our celebration marking 45 years as a treble chorus and 25 years performing as "Cantilena."
Artistic Director Elinor A. Armsby has created a program that explores the connection between resilience and song through uplifting works including “Be the Light” by Lea Morris and “Keep Singing” by Ayrian Norman. Introducing more contemplative selections such as Daniel Gawthrop’s “There Is Sweet Music” and Mari Esabel Valverde’s “Cantares” pieces such as these reflect how music touches and moves us. The capstone for this anniversary celebration is the world premiere of “Come, Ye Lovers of Art," a new work by composer and Cantilena member Rebecca Sacks.
As is our tradition, the audience is invited to join us for light refreshments after the performance.
Tickets ($0-$30) purchase advance, discounts, student, senior, Card-to-Culture e-tickets online here: https://www.cantilena.org Children - free e-ticket admission with an adult.
