Time, Space, Peace, Music, God

Company:
The Spectrum Singers

In his final concert as Music Director of The Spectrum Singers, John Ehrlich leads an extraordinary program that links Arnold Schoenberg’s heartfelt plea for peace, Ralph Vaughan Williams’s homages to two great poet/philosophers—Walt Whitman and William Shakespeare—and Charles Ives’s cosmic portrait of God’s infinite power and mercy. Four talented vocalists, an inspired chorus, and a full orchestra with pealing organ and a carillon of bells enhance this must-hear concert presentation. Works on the program: Schoenberg Friede auf Erden, Vaughn Williams Toward the Unknown Region and Serenade to Music, Ives Psalm 90. Steven Ledbetter will offer a free pre-concert lecture at 7:00 PM. A reception following the concert will celebrate John Ehrlich's 44 seasons leading The Spectrum Singers.
